CentSafari Founder
Anya Arora is an eighth-grade student at Metrolina Regional Scholars Academy who has always been inspired to give back to her community. During the summer of 2024, she had the opportunity to volunteer her time to raise STEM awareness in elementary school students, where she discovered the lack of financial literacy knowledge in the youth of Charlotte, North Carolina, particularly in underserved communities. Her research suggested that financial literacy is key to improving economic mobility, which is important to improve the financial lives of many people in the Charlotte region. She was inspired to create Project CentSafari, an STEM-enabled organization designed to provide early access to the elementary school students in Charlotte-Mecklenburg schools so that they are better prepared for future financial success.
